White Ribbon Day (Jour du Ruban Blanc)

December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women, also known as White Ribbon Day (Jour du Ruban Blanc). Join us for a virtual event honouring the 1989 École Polytechnique tragedy and supporting efforts to end gender-based violence.

This empowering session will explore:
• The history of White Ribbon Day
• The impact of misogyny and gender expectations
• Emotional and physical safety for women
• Ways to protect and empower yourself

Through dialogue we can raise awareness and create change.

The Ontario Ball Hockey Association is hosting the Metis of Ontario Challenge Cup in 2025.

Join us on December 4th, 2024, from 3:00 – 4:30 pm for an important information session & conversation on the Ontario Breast Screening Program.

The MNO Healing and Wellness branch welcomes guest speaker, Dr. Christian Finley to share information on the Ontario Breast Screening Program. The Ontario Breast Screening Program is a province-wide screening program that aims to reduce breast cancer deaths through regular screening.

Youth Challenge Cup

The Ontario Ball Hockey Association is hosting the Metis of Ontario Challenge Cup in 2025.
Deadline: January 15, 2025

The tournament is open to all members of the Metis Nations of Ontario and are offering the following divisions, U8-Tyke, U10-Novice, U12-Atom, U14- Peewee, U16-Bantam, U18-Junior, U-21-Juvenile and Girls U11, U13, U15, U18 divisions.

To better assist in the planning for the Challenge Cup, we ask that you please complete the form and email it back to the office no later than January 15, 2025. The OBHA office will confirm the number of teams and send each league an invoice for the number of teams entered by January 17, 2025.
